Cruise Description
12 Night Cruise sailing from Ft Lauderdale roundtrip aboard Celebrity Silhouette.
High design. To the power of four. In 2011, Celebrity Silhouette joins our award-winning Solstice Class, delivering the same cosmopolitan style that has made her sister ships famous, from stunning interior spaces to sweeping veranda views in 85% of staterooms. With specialty dining venues that rival the best five-star spots on land and a host of enriching onboard programs, we’ve created an unprecedented ship experience. Again.
Highlights of this cruise:
Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Fort Lauderdale lies along the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the New River, 25 miles north of Miami. Its warm tropical weather attracts many people throughout the year. For sun-worshippers, the city has six miles of beaches. There are also many recreational waterways with extensive boating facilities, access to every conceivable watersport, a variety of fascinating museums and trendy restaurants, and an array of entertainment venues.
St. Croix, U.S.V.I.
St. Croix, the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands, is a tropical dreamland complete with stunning beaches, clear aqua-blue ocean water, a small rain forest and rolling green hillsides. The Danes purchased St. Croix in the 1700s at which time the slave trade and sugar cane fields thrived. Today, the Danish influence is still apparent in the island's architecture and language. Most of the sugar mills lie in ruins. Yet you can still get a taste of the island's history in freshly squeezed sugar cane juice or Cruzan Rum.
St. Johns, Antigua
The first settlement on the island we now know as Antigua was not established until the 1600s, when English settlers arrived. Antigua remained a part of the British Commonwealth until its independence in 1981. Today, Antigua is a popular vacation destination, attracting tourists with its ideal climate, amazing landscape, leisurely lifestyle and 365 beautiful beaches - one for every day of the year!
Castries, St. Lucia
See the beautiful coastline of St. Lucia from the deck of a catamaran. You'll have an unbeatable view of the scenery and get an exhilarating ride, too. It's the perfect way to relax or rejuvenate.
Bridgetown, Barbados
For the ultimate day of fun-in-the-sun Barbados-style, cruise on the MV Harbour to a spectacular sandy beach. Snorkel on reefs teeming with tropical fish. Enjoy the rope swing, sun tanning or walking on the beach. Cruise back along the scenic coast while dancing the calypso or limbo, or just relax on deck.
St. George's, Grenada
From the moment you set your eyes on St. George's, you'll see why it's considered one of the most picturesque ports in the Caribbean. Lush vegetation, mountainous terrain and colorful colonial architecture make up the landscape. And if the sights don't wow your senses, the aroma will. Grenada is also filled with spice trees and is a leading source of many different spices, including nutmeg, cloves, ginger, cinnamon and cocoa.
Kingstown, St. Vincent
Whenever you imagine running away to a remote Caribbean island, this is the one you picture in your mind. Nature lovers hike to the top of La Soufriere volcano and dive to the depths of coral-clad reefs. You can take in a cricket match, admire the tropical gardens, do a little cave exploring, or lounge on your own secluded beach, choose volcanic black sand or cool white sand. You'll see why St. Vincent made a perfect setting for the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie.
Basseterre, St Kitts & Nevis
Whether you're a history buff or just want to take in the scenery, be sure to visit the 350-year-old estate, Romney Manor, once owned by a British earl. The beautiful grounds include magnificent gardens, exotic plants and an amazing African Saman tree, which covers half an acre and is believed to be as old as the estate itself.
